There are many ways you can get involved in efforts to secure vulnerable nuclear (fissile) materials.

•  Join one of the FMWG organizations. By joining one of the groups, you’ll receive their action alerts, invites to events on the topic, and more.
   
• Educate yourself and friends. Check out the following resources – from both non-governmental organizations and the U.S. Government:
  
  • FMWG Resources.
  • Stanley Foundation’s “Radioactive Challenge” Event-in-a-Box toolkit (free). Organize a viewing party and educate your friends and family about the dangers of vulnerable nuclear materials.
  • Attend public education events.
  • Check out the State Department’s Office of Cooperative Threat Reduction.
     
• Call your congressional representatives and ask them what they are doing to secure vulnerable fissile materials. You can locate them on the Senate and House of Representatives websites.
   
• Contact the White House and learn more about their efforts.
